"The Belforte family has been in the agricultural business both in Italy since 1820 and in California since 1920. We understand the difficulty vintner's encounter through climatic conditions, disease and market pricing. There are a series of pitfalls that vintners can experience but it should not be the result of deficient closures," said Beltappo Inc. Pres/CEO John S Belforte II "We have invested years in research, development and testing of existing synthetic wine closures and several generations of Beltappo wine cork. We were determined to test our cork until we were convinced that we could present a quality closure to our clients. We're confident that Beltappo is the state of the art wine cork," added Belforte. Beltappo's technology and production tolerances are superior and insure a uniform standard for weight, density, length and diameter of each cork. "Consequently, insertion, extraction and compressibility of our cork is extremely consistent and similar to natural corks," says Belforte.
